Carmel,
Indiana kitchen remodel: The original layout for this space included a wall
between a front office and the kitchen, and a poorly functioning peninsula
layout for the cabinetry. The wall was removed, and the opening between the
dining room and kitchen was widened to create a much more open, generous space.
This allowed for a long island and elevated bar table, with enough space left
over for a small, efficient home office area. Space was also taken from the
garage so a wall could be angled for better traffic flow around the island,
where the flat screen TV is recessed. The refrigerator, wine nook, and pantry
storage were located in a thin transition space to the kitchen, right off the
laundry and garage entry. The cabinetry is KraftMaid cherry, and the counters
are granite with an Oceanside multi-format glass mosaic backsplash tile. The
renovation also included the installation of a clear maple hardwood floor
throughout the main level of the house.

Arden kitchen remodel, Indianapolis: This cherry
kitchen is a combination of KraftMaid cabinetry and site-built custom elements.
The counters are Caesarstone Nougat, mitered to the floor at each end of the
"U", with backsplashes of Artistic Stilato glass mosaic tile. A bookcase niche
was built to take advantage of an existing brick alcove between the tall pantry
cabinets, and narrow shelves were built around it to connect and unify the wall.
The microwave enclosure was built to mimic the proportion and height of the
other shelves.

Broad Ripple kitchen remodel, Indianapolis: The window wall originally had a side
entry door which was filled in to accommodate the range/oven. The
peninsula features a custom radius wrap on the end, and a solid
cherry bar top. The undermount stainless sink has a drop-in cutting
board and a bottom grate.

Arden kitchen remodel, Indianapolis: This mid-century modern
kitchen features Valcucine Italian cabinetry combined with stock elements. The stainless block counter includes a number of specialty
compartments in addition to the sink and cooktop which are molded into
the work surface. The butler's pantry was created from stock elements
to mimic the custom kitchen.

Meridian-Kessler kitchen remodel: This kitchen was created by removing the
partitions from five original spaces in this part of the house. The
kitchen, mud room, and hearth room are completely new, with hardwood
floors and finishes chosen to blend with the original finishes in the
rest of the house. The kitchen and pantry cabinets were built by a
local artisan, Eric Oehler, and wrapped in custom trims and moldings
onsite.
