Cramped. Closed-in. Claustrophobic. Elbow-banging tiny. Those were a few of the words the owners of this Carmel home used to describe their kitchen when we met to begin planning their renovation. Built in the 80s, it was overdue for an update but our clients wanted much more than new cabinets, counters and a fresh coat of paint. They were looking for a larger, open kitchen that felt more connected to the rest of their home.
